Stantler (Japanese: オドシシ Odoshishi) is a Normal-type Pokémon.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

Stantler are antlered Pokémon that are similar to real-life reindeer or caribou. These Pokémon are quadrupedal, with each leg ending in a black hoof. The pelt of a Stantler is a tan color with a cream-colored belly and a few cream-colored spots on the back. They have large, brown noses and a pair of pale cream-colored antlers, each with a black orb in the center. There is confusion whether the tail of a Stantler is cream or brown, since the artwork has differed this way between generations. However, the official artwork from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver depicts Stantler with a brown tail, the same brown as its pelt.

Stantler can distort reality and create illusions with its antlers by subtly changing the flow of air around them. Staring into them creates an odd sensation, as if one is being sucked through them, and one may become so dizzy it makes them impossible to stand. Its strange antlers are very valuable artifacts that Pokémon hunters poach Stantler for. The species was nearly driven to extinction for this. The round balls found on the fallen antlers can be ground into a powder that aids in sleeping.

It can be presumed that Stantler shed their horns at some point, as a Pokédex entry references its fallen antlers. If a baby Stantler is separated from its herd and frightened, it will instinctively produce an illusion of a big, stampeding herd to scare away the perceived threats.

Stantler live in herds in forests or mountainous terrain.

In The Little Big Horn, Brock helped a Stantler fawn reunite with its herd. A little while before that, Stantler created an illusion of a stampeding herd of Stantler in self defense, but it was later seen through by Brock.

In Different Strokes for Different Blokes, Ash got lost in a forest that contained many Stantler with his Turtwig. Some of the Stantler used Hypnosis on the two, giving them various hallucinations. Paul captured one of the Stantler but released it after deciding that it wasn’t worthy for his team.

Santa Claus has a group of Stantler to pull his sleigh as shown in Stantler’s Little Helpers, officially replacing his Ponyta.

Stantler may be a combination of stag and antler.

Odoshishi may be derived from 鹿威し shishiodoshi, a Japanese device traditionally used to scare deer and birds away from gardens.

Pidgey (Japanese: ポッポ Poppo) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon.

It evolves into Pidgeotto starting at level 18, which evolves into Pidgeot starting at level 36.

Pidgey resembles a small, plump-bodied bird. It is a brown color, with a lighter colored throat and belly. The tips of its wings share this cream color. Both its feet and beak are a pinkish-gray color. Its plumage is nondescript, particularly compared to its evolutions Pidgeotto and Pidgeot. It has black markings around its eyes and a small crest of brown and cream feathers above its eyes. It resembles other small Flying-type Pokémon such as Spearow, Taillow, Starly, and Pidove. However, because (with the exception of Spearow) these Pokémon tend to be unique to a region, it is likely that they are a result of divergent evolution. Pidgey’s feet allow it to walk on the ground for a while but can also reach out and safely land on perches.

Pidgey has an extremely sharp sense of direction and homing instincts. It can locate its nest even when far removed from familiar surroundings. Because of this, it is extremely easy to train to deliver messages.

It is a docile Pokémon, and generally prefers to flee from its enemies rather than fight them. Pidgey’s small size permits it to hide easily in long grass, where it is typically found foraging for small insects. It is known to flush out potential prey from long grass by flapping its wings rapidly. This maneuver also serves to protect Pidgey from enemies. If disturbed, a Pidgey is capable of creating a blinding cloud of dust, allowing it make its escape. This evasive technique can also be applied to battles.

Pidgey are very common and can be seen in a variety of environments. Pidgey typically dwell in forests with thick growth and large trees. Due to their environmental versatility and somewhat similar habitat needs, they can usually be found in the same places as Rattata. They are normally native to Kanto and Johto, although vagrants have appeared in Sinnoh and Unova from time to time.

Pidgey mainly eat Weedle, Caterpie, Wurmple, and other small insects.

Wilbur, guardian of Pudgy Pidgey Isle, helped to teach a Pidgey named Orville how to fly in Fly Me to the Moon. Nearly all the other Pidgey on the island were too large for flight.

Pidgey first appeared in Pokémon – I Choose You!. Ash tried capturing it, but failed because Pikachu would not obey him.

Casey has a Pidgey, seen in her first appearance, The Double Trouble Header.

Many Pidgey were featured in Carrying On! as mail-Pidgey, owned by Malachi and his grandfather. One of them was named Ken.

Professor Oak captured a Pidgey just before Will the Real Oak Please Stand Up?. He used it to blast off Team Rocket.

Pidgey are frequently seen in the background of many episodes flying in packs of ten or more. Sometimes they may appear in town centers or fields nearby to Ash and friends and usually fly away due to any local disturbance. Their appearances range from seemingly any anime episode, notably, Crossing Paths and Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! Part One, as well as movies.

Pidgey makes a couple of cameos in the Red, Green & Blue chapter; in Bulbasaur, Come Home! as one of the Pokémon that escapes from Professor Oak’s Laboratory and in …But Fearow Itself! when a frozen one is pictured by Bill in his explanation about how to stop a Flying Pokémon. Also, the Safari Zone’s tour guides are automated robotic Pidgey, called Pidgebot.

In Pocket Monsters Zensho, a flock of Pidgey swarm Satoshi at the beginning. He is later saved by Professor Oak’s Charmander who later becomes his own.

Gold’s first capture on his journey was a Pidgey which later evolved into a Pidgeotto.

Anatomically Pidgey does not resemble pigeons as much as it does finches or sparrows. However, there have been some references to Pidgey Mail, alluding to homing pigeons. Its species name, “tiny bird,” added to the sound of the end of its name, could suggest that Pidgey is also based on chickadees. However, it and its evolutions appear to have more traits related to ospreys than pigeons or chickadees.

Pidgey could be a corruption of pigeon or a combination of that with the word budgie (a type of bird), chickadee (a type of bird), or pudgy (referring to its plump physique).

Poppo appears to be the onomatopoeia of the sound a pigeon makes: ポッポッポ poppoppo.

Dressed for Jess Success! (Japanese: ポケモンコンテスト! スイレン大会!! Pokémon Contest! Suiren Tournament!!) is the 146th episode of the Diamond & Pearl series, and the 612th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan as a 1 hour special on October 1, 2009, along with A Rivalry to Gible On! and in the United States on February 27, 2010.

It is the day of the Lilypad Contest, and Dawn is excited to enter. Across town, Jessie is focused on winning her third Ribbon, but she is sick, so James and Meowth convince her to stay in bed. To help his friend, James disguises himself as Jessilina and takes her place.

Meanwhile, Dawn makes the decision to use Mamoswine in the battle round. Lyra expresses the gang’s concern in this choice, seeing as this Contest holds the pivotal fifth Ribbon Dawn needs to enter the http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Free-Games-For-Pc Grand Festival. However, Dawn feels confident in her choice.

While in the waiting room, the gang meets James in his guise as “Jessilina”. Lyra makes a remark about the outfit he is wearing, and he quickly gives a response before ducking into a corner, indicating it’s been a long time since he’s cross-dressed. Meowth reassures him, reminding him that he’s doing this for Jessie.

The first round commences, and in a quick set of moves, Dawn’s Piplup uses Whirlpool and then Bide to leave a dazzling impression on the minds of the judges. “Jessilina” uses Meowth and Fury Swipes to make delicious ramen for the judges, and they are quite impressed with the showmanship and flavor of the meal. Throughout the appeals round, Brock describes to Khoury the purpose of the appeals round, as Contests are completely new to Khoury.

Backstage, Piplup appears confident and satisfied with its win. The screen lights http://www.monstermmorpg.com/2-Player-Racing-Games up, and it is revealed that Dawn is moving on to the next round–along with “Jessilina”. In the next round, Dawn uses Mamoswine. The Coordinator she is up against sends out a Granbull. Mamoswine proves itself powerful when Dawn commands it to use its newly found combo of swallowing Ice Shard, much to the surprise of the audience. Mamoswine gains ice spikes along its back, which it then couples with Hidden Power and Take Down for a quick one-hit knockout of the Granbull. This shocks Dawn, and she reveals backstage that she had been hoping to test more of Mamoswine’s combos before the match was through. Ash and Brock attempt to cheer her up, and help her to be happy that she’s going on to the next round.

As the rounds progress, James uses Carnivine to great success, moving on up in the tournament. Throughout the battle round, Brock explains to Khoury the mechanics of what goes on.

It comes down to the semi-final match, and James finds himself up against Dawn. He sends out Carnivine (who naturally chomps on James’s head at first) and Dawn sends out Mamoswine. Dawn starts off the match with an Ice Shard, but to her surprise, “Jessilina” is prepared and has Carnivine use Vine Whip to steal the Ice Shard before Mamoswine can eat it. This startles Mamoswine causing it to start to get worked up while Carnivine http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Fun-Free-Games playfully juggles the Ice Shard. Meowth, sitting backstage, notes to himself that James could possibly win the match. Carnivine returns the Ice Shard back towards Mamoswine and, as Mamoswine is still in shock, it does not react in time to dodge and the Ice Shard hits it square on the head costing Dawn some points. Mamoswine begins to become enraged, and Dawn tells her Pokémon to calm down but instead Mamoswine charges and (without being commanded) uses Take Down in an attempt to hit Carnivine. Carnivine proves itself too agile for Mamoswine, and dodges by simply leaping over the Twin Tusk Pokémon. Mamoswine runs backwards and forwards trying to hit Carnivine only to miss everytime and the constant failed attacks causes Dawn’s points to quickly drain, while Dawn frantically tries to bring Mamoswine (who is becoming even angrier) under control.

After a couple of more failed attempts at Take Down, Mamoswine then tries to use Hidden Power against Carnivine however James has it use Bullet Seed which counters Hidden Power. Mamoswine then fires AncientPower, but Carnivine spins elegantly out of the way causing Dawn to lose more of the few points she has left. Mamoswine once charges Carnivine, who James then orders to use Vine Whip and snags Mamoswine’s tusks to its surprise. Carnivine then yanks back hard, throwing Mamoswine forward off its feet, which combined with its charging forward momentum, sends it violently sliding on its chin across the stage towards the judges! It quickly becomes clear that Mamoswine won’t be able to stop in time, and Mr. Contesta, Mr. Sukizo and Nurse Joy barely scramble out of the way just before Mamoswine’s body is halted by crashing into and destroying the judges boxes. Dawn runs forward worried that Mamoswine has been seriously hurt, but Mamoswine tries to get up clearly ready for more.

With that, time expires, and it’s no surprise to anyone that “Jessilina” has the most points remaining. Mamoswine has calmed down, but is clearly saddened as it already knows that its behavior has cost Dawn her Contest. Dawn tries to cheer Mamoswine up, saying they’ll do better next time.

Later, it is revealed that “Jessilina” has won the Lilypad Contest, and James proudly shows off his Ribbon alongside Carnivine and Meowth. Jessie sees this on television and is thrilled, though when James comes by later to give her the Ribbon, she is upset because the audience liked James better as Jessilina than they liked her as Jessilina. James and Meowth just shrug; Jessie will be Jessie.

That evening, Ash, Brock, Dawn, Lyra and Khoury leave Lilypad to their next destination. Dawn gives Poffins to her Mamoswine for its efforts and while sorry she lost the Contest, pledges to win the next one, earn her final Ribbon, and go to the Grand Festival. Next time, she’ll be ready.

Abandon Ship! (Japanese: すてられ船!しのびよる影!! The Abandoned Ship! The Creeping Shadow!!) is the 32nd episode of the Advanced Generation series, and the 306th episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on July 3, 2003 and in the United States on May 15, 2004.

The episode starts with the four friends sailing the ocean on a motorboat while Ash and Pikachu admire his recently-earned Knuckle Badge, Brock and Max are discussing their next stop in Slateport City and then Mauville City, where the next Gym is and with May reminding them about the Pokémon Contest in Slateport where she plans on making her debut. As May’s friends give her words of encouragement, they remain unaware that the drivers of the boat are none other than Team Rocket, with another wicked scheme in mind. The boat stops and Jessie, still in disguise, gives them drinks, which they express thanks for. Then Jessie offers a treat to Pikachu, which Pikachu happily accepts. But as Pikachu takes its first bite of the treat, James brings down a rubber bag on it, making Ash, May, Max and Brock gasp. Team Rocket reveal themselves and recite the motto, with Meowth coming up in their Magikarp submarine to finish the motto for them to make their getaway. Ash stops them by sending out his Corphish, which slices the rubber bag open, setting Pikachu free. Jessie reacts by sending out her Seviper to use Poison Tail. Corphish dodges Seviper’s attack and uses Crabhammer, knocking the Fang Snake Pokémon out cold. May then sends out her Beautifly to use Gust, blowing Jessie, James and Seviper into their submarine, Ash ends the situation by throwing Pikachu into the air and Pikachu using Thunderbolt, sending Team Rocket blasting off as they complain about the money they wasted on the boat and the snacks.

But Ash and his friends are faced with more problems: the boat is out of gas and they have no radio. As a fog descends, they are drifted to what appears to be a creepy Abandoned Ship stuck among some large rocks. As they go aboard, May starts doing a make-believe news show as they explore the deck, only to realize they’re not alone as they see another boat anchored near the starboard bow. The owner of the boat appears almost as if on cue and introduces himself as Tommy. Brock explains their boat ran out of gas and they drifted to the ship. Tommy explains he came to investigate the ship, saying it is now called the “Forsaken Ship” because after it crashed and the passengers made it off safely, the coastguard just left it there. So Tommy came to see if it could be moved, with May expressing sympathy for the ship. Tommy then reveals he was a passenger on the ship when it crashed and during the rescue, he lost his Marshtomp, which he is hoping he might find if he explore the ship. Ash checks Marshtomp on his Pokédex and learns that it’s the evolved form of Mudkip, and Tommy promises to give the friends a ride to the nearest port after he’s through exploring the ship. As the friends wait, they enjoy some drinks and snacks provided by Tommy and enjoy the sun as the fog descends. But as Pikachu and May’s Torchic eat some Pokémon food, Torchic notices a door edge open and something move in the darkness. Curious, Torchic approaches and vanishes. Tommy shows up and learns what’s happened, and then suggests they split up to find Torchic.

Meanwhile, below deck in the stern of the ship, Team Rocket, who coincidentally landed in the ship, wake up groaning and start looking for a way out. Meowth wanders into a room by himself and vanishes. At the same time, Ash, May, Max, Brock, and Tommy are looking for Torchic below deck. Max has his back to a flooded hole in the floor and screams as he vanishes, with his sister and the others taking notice.

Max wakes up to find himself suspended fake pokemon Seedon off the floor next to Torchic and Meowth, both also prisoners and Max notices how high they’re suspended.

At the same time, May, Ash, Brock and Tommy are looking through a hall and notice a door open at the end of the hall only to see that it’s a Marill and a couple Azurill, who bounce past them casually. Brock says, “This must be their home now,” with Tommy seconding, “Well, there’s no better place for Water Pokémon than a ship.”

Max struggles to free himself, with Meowth insulting him by saying, “You weren’t smart enough to not get caught.”

Max counters, saying, “Hey, you got caught too, Free Casino Slot Games y’know?!”

Meowth angrily says, “Well, who asked you anyway?!”

Max then suggests Meowth to use Fury Swipes to get loose. Meowth complains that he can’t move, but Max answers the problem by telling him to use his foot claws. He promises to cut Meowth down if he cuts him down first. Meowth agrees and swings, slashing Max’s bondage and getting him down. Max then proceeds to get Torchic down, much to Meowth’s chagrin, but is thwarted by a Spinarak, which uses String Shot to retie Max up and hang him from the ceiling, Meowth laughing at him, and smacks into Torchic, who smacks into Max, then Max smacking into Torchic who smacks into Meowth, much to the annoyance of all three of them.

Jessie and James search the halls for Meowth but a Golduck leaps out of a crate, scaring them before walking past them. Jessie yells at it and they go on but James is grabbed from behind and his muffled screams for help are unheard by Jessie who keeps going.

James joins Max, Meowth and Torchic, with Max teases him by saying “Glad you could hang out with us!”

Meowth then tries to cut James down, ignoring Max’s plea to be cut down, but Max swings into them, ruining the escape-attempt as they all scream.

At the same time, May is also taken as she’s pulled into the water by an unseen assailant. Brock sends his Mudkip to find her but Mudkip reports back that May has vanished and Tommy thinks that someone doesn’t appreciate them being on the ship by one bit with Brock figuring out that they’re being picked off one by one.

May is hung with the other prisoners and explains how she got caught. Max makes light of the situation by saying they still have three buddies out there while Meowth and James only have Jessie, but both scoff and have no doubts Jessie will successfully come to their rescue.

At the moment, Jessie is looking for her friends, a little scared of being alone and is scared by a Wooper, which she yells at. But the assailant captures her as well.

Jessie is put with the prisoners, much to the disappointment of Meowth and James, as Max jokingly says “Hi, glad ya dropped by!” and May saying “We’re all just hanging around!” Jessie, in no mood for a joke, angrily slams into them, also slamming into Torchic, James and Meowth. The force of the slam gives Meowth unwanted momentum and he slams into the others, making Jessie angrier as she slams into them all continuously as Wobbuffet pops out of his ball but ends up being hung up as well and Jessie calls it, useless.

Ash, Brock, Tommy and Pikachu are still looking for their friends as a blue flipper-like hand reaches out from the water to grab Pikachu. Pikachu notices and attacks the hand with electricity, alerting Ash, Brock and Tommy. The assailant burst from the water, revealing itself to be a Swampert. Ash looks it up on the Pokédex and Tommy gasps as he thinks the Swampert as well as his missing Marshtomp might be one in the same. The angry Swampert flees with them in pursuit as Swampert tries to lose them by diving into the water but they follow it anyway. When they surface, they notice, open a door and enter to find themselves between Swampert and their friends along with Team Rocket. Brock tells Mudkip to cut the threads with Water Gun but is thwarted by Swampert using Mud Shot. Ash sends out Corphish to battle Swampert. Corphish employs Crabhammer but Swampert easily dodges and uses Iron Tail, much to the surprise of Tommy. Ash recalls Corphish and is about to have Pikachu battle but Tommy stops them, saying he’s sure that Swampert evolved from his Marshtomp, reasoning that he raised it since it was a little baby. Tommy approaches Swampert and tries to say hello but Swampert just uses Mud Shot at him, but Tommy isn’t harmed or afraid. Then, Tommy openly realizes that Swampert feels that way because when he abandoned it as a Marshtomp, it has grown to hate humans and it is fighting so hard because it doesn’t want them to break into its home. Swampert’s threatening growls seem to support this theory. Tommy then tell Swampert to remember the day the ship ran aground and in the panic, they were separated. Tommy had thought Swampert, as a Marshtomp back then, had been safe in its Poké Ball and had left but that he never meant to abandon it. Swampert doesn’t seem to believe him, but Tommy tells it to try and remember how they were always together when Tommy was a little kid and Swampert was a baby Mudkip. Swampert has a flashback of when they were training around that time, shooting Water Gun at empty soda cans, and evolved into a Marshtomp, they were so happy at that time. Then Tommy brings up the Iron Tail that Swampert had used and all the hard work they did to perfect it. Another flashback shows Marshtomp trying to use Iron Tail on a rock. The attempt fails but Tommy encourages it to try again and this time it’s successful as Marshtomp pulverizes the rock. Happy about their success, they hugged.

Tommy, with rejoiced eyes, says he came back to the ship to get Swampert. Swampert, having calmed down and remembered, goes over and Tommy hugs it again and apologizes for leaving it and asks if they can be a team again. Swampert happily agrees. Everyone is released as Max compliments Tommy’s Swampert and Swampert apologizes for the trouble it caused. Team Rocket then attempts to steal Swampert with Jessie sending out Seviper, but Tommy and Swampert, now a team again, easily knock it down and sending them blasting off with a Hydro Pump.

Up on deck as the sun sets, Tommy announces that since the ship has become a home for a lot of Water-type Pokémon and is like a rest stop for migrating Pokémon, he and Swampert are going to fix up. And the next day, Tommy and Swampert give the friends the ride to Slateport City that he promised, with Ash getting ready for his next Gym battle.
