Meditite (Japanese: アサナン Asanan) is a dual-type Fighting/Psychic Pokémon.

It evolves into Medicham starting at level 37.

Meditite, in reference to its name, resembles a person meditating, sitting with knees bent and feet together with its hands resting on its knees. It also resembles a certain yoga position. Its lower body is blue, with white on the wrists, feet, and what seems to be pants, or possibly a diaper. Its head is also white, with an onion-like shape and large ears. Its eyes are large and seem to be focused.

A male’s ears are higher up than a female’s.

Its meditation gives it inner strength and spiritual power. It also is able to endure long periods without eating.

They are very focused in their practices of meditation and where can i find fake pokemon Coppey yoga, and seem to be very spiritual Pokémon as well.

Meditite are native to the mountains of Sinnoh, but can also be found in mountanous parts of Hoenn. There have also been sightings inside temples in Johto.

It survives by eating one Berry a day.

Meditite made its debut appearance under the ownership of Shauna in A Meditite Fight.

In Lost Leader Strategy!, it was revealed that Maylene used a Meditite in her Gym battle with Paul. Her Meditite also appeared again in Crossing the Battle Line! in a battle with Dawn, where it battled against her Buneary and won, then it battled against her Ambipom, where it lost. Meditite was also used to battle Ash in A Triple Fighting Chance!, where it managed to confuse his Chimchar and Staravia before losing to the latter.

A Meditite appeared in the opening of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

In Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Zulite Sea, Meditite and its evolved form, Medicham, worked for a traveling family of circus performers. The two Meditation Pokémon used Psychic to make balls of water retain their form.

In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Maylene has a Meditite that handily defeated Pearl’s Chatot, who Platinum borrowed so she could battle her.

It resembles a primate of some sort. It appears to have been based on a practitioner of yoga and is meditating in almost all of the media it appears in. Its yoga position in its artwork and sprites is the Lotus, where one crosses his/her legs and places their feet on the opposing thighs. This position supposedly holds the mind completely steady for long periods of time and calms it, heightening the user’s senses. Its hat somewhat resembles a turban and may also be the caps worn by many depictions of Hindu deities, such as Shiva, who are commonly seen meditating.

Meditite may be a combination of the corruptions of meditate and possibly tyke. It may also involve a corruption of tight, as in the phrase, “Tight focus.”

Asanan may be a corruption of asana, which in yoga refers to a pose or posture.

Ash’s Krookodile (Japanese: サトシのワルビアル Satoshi’s Waruvial) is the ninth Pokémon obtained by Ash in the Unova region. Prior to his capture, he was also known as the Sunglasses Sandile (Japanese: サングラスのメグロコ Sunglasses Meguroco) and Sunglasses Krokorok (Japanese: サングラスのワルビル Sunglasses Waruvile).

Krookodile made his first appearance in A Sandile Gusher of Change! as a Sandile, where he was revealed to be the leader of a group of Sandile who lived near a local spa resort. He and the group caused trouble at the spa resort on Route 1 so that they could get the attention of the owners. He was actually trying to save the other Pokémon in the area because he knew that a geyser would soon erupt. With the help of Ash, Iris, and the son of the spa resort owner, Dan, Sandile was able to save the Pokémon. In the end, Sandile was shown to have gained respect for Ash, and as such, began to follow him.

Sandile appeared again in Here Comes the Trubbish Squad!, where he wanted to battle Pikachu. He randomly attacked with Stone Edge, despite there being small children close by. He was sent blasting off by a wild Trubbish’s Sludge Bomb and Pikachu’s Iron Tail.

Sandile reappeared in Dancing With the Ducklett Trio!, separating Ash from the group in order to battle Pikachu again. However, a wild Ducklett stole his sunglasses and stopped the battle. Sandile was deeply saddened without his sunglasses, losing his usual confidence and becoming quite cowardly. With Ash and Pikachu’s help, he defeated the Ducklett and reclaimed his sunglasses. Later, after being healed at the Pokémon Center, Sandile finally got the battle he wanted with Pikachu. Sandile dominated the battle to start with and eventually evolved into Krokorok. Pikachu soon gained the upper hand however, and sent Krokorok blasting off when his Electro Ball attack collided with Krokorok’s Stone Edge, causing the stones to hit Krokorok and send him flying.

After a long absence, Krookodile, still as a Krokorok, returned at the end of Explorers of the Hero’s Ruin! with the same goal of defeating Pikachu in battle. In the following episode, http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Selena-Gomez-Games he battled against Pikachu, and ended up causing the two of them to go flying. He was later found by Ash, and helped them locate Pikachu. It was revealed that Krokorok had followed them through various locations, including Nimbasa Town and Nimbasa City, in order to have a rematch with Pikachu. He also followed them through Chargestone Cave, where he was shown to be the cause of a pen being stuck in the Klinklang in Evolution Exchange Excitement!. Krokorok later allowed Ash to use him to help Mick learn to battle, and he eventually teamed up with Pikachu under Mick’s command in a Double Battle against Sean’s father’s Seismitoad and Scolipede, where the duo eventually won. Krokorok then got the chance to battle Pikachu like he had wanted for so long, and after a hard-fought battle, Pikachu emerged victorious. Krokorok was depressed by the loss and begun to leave, when Ash invited him to join their team. Krokorok happily agreed, and was caught by Ash in a Poké Ball.

In An Amazing Aerial Battle!, Ash used Krokorok in Laser Town his Gym battle against Skyla. He faced her Swoobat, who she had previously predicted would beat him. Krokorok struggled in the battle having all his moves evaded while how to catch Rootopi narrowly escaping Swoobat’s. Krokorok finally was able to land a single hit with Stone Edge before Swoobat countered it with a powerful Air Cutter, defeating him.

In Guarding the Guardian of the Mountain!, Ash chose Krokorok for some special training with Brycen and his Beartic. When the training began, Krokorok and Ash had problems on following Brycen and Beartic’s techniques, especially when they had to jump down a waterfall and Krokorok refused to, due his fear of water. Later, Krokorok was used in a battle against Pokémon poacher Rizzo in an attempt to free the guardian, Volcarona, of the mountain they were training on. He battled a Jellicent and was hit by a super effective Hydro Pump after missing with Crunch. Regardless, Krokorok got back up and landed several hits on his opponent with Stone Edge before using Crunch again, though it was deflected. Krokorok attempted Crunch from a different angle, only to receive a painful hit from Jellicent’s Hex attack. Persevering, Krokorok avoided his opponent’s Confuse Ray with Dig and finally landed an effective hit with Crunch on the Ghost-type Pokémon. Krokorok tried another Crunch, only to be stopped by Hex again, though he dodged Confuse Ray with Dig and hit Jellicent with Crunch, as he did before. Rizzo then brought out a second, female, Jellicent which hit Krokorok with her Confuse Ray. Krokorok was then hit by a double Hydro Pump and sent into Rizzo’s cage along with Volcarona. He and the Sun Pokémon were eventually rescued by Brycen and Beartic.

In the following episode, Krokorok was pumped up for the upcoming Gym battle and accompanied Ash to the Gym outside of his Poké Ball. He started off battling Brycen’s Vanillish, and began with a Crunch, but was halted by Vanillish’s Astonish. After the collision of Stone Edge and Icicle Spear, Vanillish launched a Blizzard that froze Krokorok while he was attempting to dodge with Dig. After being knocked while frozen by Mirror Shot, Ash recalled Krokorok. He was later sent out to battle against Beartic. Krokorok’s attacks were continuously blocked by Beartic and his mouth was frozen when his Crunch was blocked by Ice Punch. Krokorok narrowly escaped a super-effective Brine by using his tail to jump, also enabling him to shake off the ice, then finally landing a direct hit with Stone Edge. Krokorok was then able to land a direct hit with Dig; however, this allowed Beartic the chance to grab him by the tail and throw him across the battlefield into a large mound of ice. Ash then ordered a Stone Edge attack that was knocked back again by Icicle Crash. However, Krokorok jumped up and grabbed two of the stones, charging down from the air with the Stone Edge in hand to meet Beartic’s Aerial Ace. After the collision, Beartic was knocked out, leaving Krokorok the victor and winning Ash the Freeze Badge.

In Ash, Iris and Trip: Then There Were Three!, Ash used Krokorok during his battle against Iris’s Dragonite in the semi-final round of the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup. Krokorok’s attacks were initially dodged and he was hit by Flamethrower. Krokorok managed to dodge many of Dragonite’s attacks with Dig, though he still took some hits, and clamped down on his opponent’s tail with Crunch. He was thrown off, but still managed to hit Dragonite with Stone Edge before missing with Crunch and getting hit by Flamethrower. Krokorok tried another Crunch attack but was rapidly hit by two Flamethrower attacks and an Ice Beam. To everyone’s surprise, Krokorok then evolved into Krookodile and hit his opponent with a newly-learned Dragon Claw. Dragonite then began to thrash about, launching its attacks all over the place in temper, but Ash ordered Krookodile to attack anyway. Krookodile was finally able to win the match by easily dodging Dragonite’s Dragon Rush with Dig and landing a direct hit with Stone Edge.

In Meloetta and the Undersea Temple!, Ash sent Krookodile out to battle Meloetta after Oshawott had refused to battle it, not wanting to hurt the Pokémon he loved. Meloetta started the battle with Hyper Voice, which was strong enough to push Krookodile back. The Intimidation Pokémon then attacked with Stone Edge, which was, however, blocked by Meloetta’s Close Combat, much to Krookodile’s astonishment and annoyance. Ash then told Krookodile to use Dragon Claw, but before the attack could hit, the battle was interrupted by Ridley’s Golurk, as he thought they were trying to hurt Meloetta. The Melody Pokémon was, however, able to convince him that Ash and his friends were harmless.

In Strong Strategy Steals the Show!, Ash chose Krookodile as his first Pokémon in his Vertress Conference battle against Stephan and his Liepard. The battle started with a clash of Liepard’s Shadow Claw and Krookodile’s Dragon Claw, after which Liepard followed in suit with Shadow Ball, which was countered by Krookodile’s Stone Edge. Liepard then tried to attack with Hyper Beam, which Krookodile avoided with Dig. To prevent Krookodile from attacking Liepard after resurfacing, Stephan had Liepard use Double Team. Thanks to this, Liepard was able to strike Krookodile with Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball in succession, before Krookodile finally managed to strike Liepard with a Stone Edge. However, Liepard quickly hid itself amongst its copies again with another Double Team, and successfully hit Krookodile with a Hyper Beam, despite of his attempt of a Dig dodge. Ash then told Krookodile to use Dragon Claw once again while Stephan had Liepard to use Shadow Claw again as well. As this sideswipe of moves didn’t cause either of the weakened Pokémon to fall down, the same clash was then repeated, and this time, Liepard was defeated. When Stephan sent out Zebstrika, Ash recalled Krookodile. The Intimidation Pokémon was later sent out to battle with Stephan’s final Pokémon: Sawk. After a fierce exchange of Dragon Claw and Close Combat, when Sawk prepared to strike back with Karate Chop, Ash took Stephan by surprise by telling his Pokémon to use a new move: Aerial Ace. The super effective move on the Fighting-type Pokémon did its work, and Sawk was defeated, winning the match for Ash and eliminating Stephan from the tournament.

As a Sandile, Krookodile was shown to have a very caring side, trying to save a group of wild Pokémon after sensing an imminent geyser eruption in A Sandile Gusher of Change!. He’s also extremely competitive, confident and proud of his abilities, even to go so far as to follow Ash throughout his entire journey, up until Battling the Bully!, wanting to battle against Pikachu, seeing him as a rival. However, it was revealed in Dancing With the Ducklett Trio that whenever he would lose his trademark sunglasses, he would immediately become timid and begin to cry until he got them back, scrambling to find them.

After evolving into Krokorok, Krookodile is still smart and compassionate, however he has been shown to be quite reckless, causing problems he never meant to; for instance throwing Cedric Juniper’s pen away and it getting stuck in a Klinklang when Krookodile was not looking, and is still timid without his sunglasses. He also tends to react suddenly, often attacking without warning. Krookodile seems to prefer to help those that need him though, such as when Mick was battling with Ash’s Pikachu and needed a second Pokémon to battle against Sean and Glenn. After he became a Krookodile, he has become a real powerhouse and is quite fast, being able to defeat powerful opponents like Iris’s Dragonite and Stephan’s Sawk. It is currently unknown if he is still timid without his sunglasses.

For more information on this Pokémon’s species, see Sandile, Krokorok, and Krookodile.

Pryce (Japanese: ヤナギ Yanagi) is the Gym Leader of Mahogany Town’s Gym, known officially as the Mahogany Gym. He is an expert in Ice-type Pokémon. He gives the Glacier Badge to Trainers who defeat him at his Gym.

Pryce appears in Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, where he is the seventh Gym Leader to be challenged in the Johto region. A specialist of the Ice-type, Pryce is known as “The Teacher of Winter’s Harshness”. Pryce is the oldest Gym Leader players will face in the games: he has been training Pokémon for over fifty years, and the Pokémon he battles with have been with him since before Ethan, Kris, and Lyra were born. The secret behind his power is—like Chuck—his daily meditation under a waterfall. Pryce claims that this strengthens both his body and his mind.

Pryce’s Mahogany Gym cannot be challenged the first time the player arrives in Mahogany Town. A man is blocking entry to the Gym: he will only leave once Team Rocket has been defeated at their headquarters and the Gyarados at the nearby Lake of Rage have been calmed. Once an icy maze inside the Gym has been traversed, Pryce will battle with the player. Upon defeat, he will yield both the Glacier Badge, and an Ice-type Technical Machine. This varies from generation to generation: TM16 (Icy Wind) will be given in Generation II, and TM07 (Hail) is given in Generation IV.

Like all Gym Leaders in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Pryce will often travel outside of his Gym. Every morning between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM, he will head north to the Lake of Rage’s west shore. Here, he awaits the player and will give out his Pokégear phone number so the two can battle again in future. This battle will take place on Monday mornings, in Saffron City’s Fighting Dojo.

Pryce also appears in Pokémon Stadium 2’s Johto Gym Leader Castle. Like other Gym Leaders’ teams in this game, he uses a variety of Pokémon not of his specialist type. Uniquely, Pryce uses a legendary Pokémon: the Ice/Flying legendary bird, Articuno.

Pryce uses three of these Pokémon in Single Battles, four in Double and Rotation Battles and all six in Triple Battles.

“Pokémon have many experiences in their lives, just like we do. I, too, have seen and suffered much in my life. Since I am your elder, let me show you what I mean. I have been with Pokémon since before you were born. I do not lose easily. I, Pryce–the winter trainer– shall demonstrate my power!”

“Ah, I am impressed by your prowess. With your strong will, I know you will overcome all life’s obstacles. You are worthy of this Badge!”

“When the ice and snow melt, spring arrives. You and your Pokémon will be together for many years to come. Cherish your time together!”

Pryce appeared in three episodes of the Pokémon anime. He had a cameo appearance in Rage of Innocence, and he was featured as the Gym Leader of Mahogany Town in As Cold as Pryce and Nice Pryce, Baby!.

In the anime, Pryce was a champion Trainer in his youth, but was severely burned in a battle. While he was bedridden, his Piloswine went out the door during a severe snow storm and never came back. He believed it had abandoned him, and he grew bitter. He became more cold-hearted and believed that Pokémon are for battling and nothing more. Due to this, he refused to fight Ash, thinking him to be a weak Trainer. When Ash compelled him to a battle, Pryce finally accepted. Using his Dewgong, he beated Ash’s Phanpy easily.

Later when Ash again tried to talk Pryce into a battle, they stumbled onto a cave where they found Pryce’s Piloswine frozen in ice. It had some plants that aided in the healing of burns. It was then that Pryce realized that Piloswine had gone in search of medicine for him, and only the snow storm trapping the Pokémon in ice prevented it from returning to him. Piloswine was defrosted and on being reunited with Piloswine, Pryce lost his cold-heartedness and became happy again.

The next morning, Ash battled Pryce in a Gym battle. After a fierce battle, Pryce forfeited as his Piloswine became tired and he knew it would serve no purpose to keep going.

This listing is for Pryce’s Pokémon in the Pokémon anime:

Pryce has owned his Piloswine ever since he was a young Trainer. After Pryce was hurt during a battle against a Magmar, Piloswine went looking for healing herbs, but was frozen on the way back. Years later, Ash and Pryce found it and freed it.

In Nice Pryce, Baby! Pryce used Piloswine during his Gym battle with Ash. It easily defeated Ash’s Cyndaquil and fought fiercely against Ash’s Pikachu until Pryce forfeited as Piloswine was becoming tired, earning Ash the Glacier Badge.

Pryce later used Dewgong during his Gym battle with Ash, battling with it against Ash’s Cyndaquil. The Sea Lion Pokémon was eventually defeated by Cyndaquil’s Flamethrower.

Dewgong’s known moves are Ice Beam, Aurora Beam, and Headbutt.

This is a listing for Pryce’s Pokémon in the Gym:

In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Pryce is a frail man confined to a wheelchair. He rarely leaves his Gym, and uses his Pokémon to create fantastic ice sculptures. With the use of his Pokémon, he also makes it appear like the sculptures can move and attack.

When the legendary Pokémon Suicune begins challenging the Gym Leaders, Whitney, DJ Mary, the Pokémon Association Director, and the Radio Director go to the Mahogany Gym after deducing that it will be Suicune’s next target. There, they encounter Pryce, who welcomes his visitors with warm hospitality.

Suddenly, one of his ice sculptures begins moving, which turns out to be Suicune. Pryce helps battle the Suicune, but upon its defeat, the Pokémon is revealed to be nothing but an ice sculpture that had appeared to move with the use of Pryce’s Pokémon. Pryce reveals that he set up the battle as training in case he was attacked by the real Suicune.

At the Pokémon League, Pryce was appointed the representative of the Johto Gym Leaders. There, he was paired up against Erika, the Kanto Gym Leader’s representative, in an exhibition match between the two region’s Gym Leaders. In the secomd-to-last match, Pryce faced Erika in battle, where he manages to win.

In the climax of the Gold, Silver, & Crystal chapter, it is revealed that Pryce is actually the true identity of the Masked Man. After having his disguise destroyed by Gold, Pryce uses the Rainbow and Silver Wings to create a Poké Ball that can capture the Pokémon that can travel through time, Celebi.

With it, he escapes into the Crack in Time, only to be pursued by a relentless Gold. After exiting, Pryce is attacked by the other Pokédex holders, but he easily manages to fend them off. When Celebi emerges from its shrine at the Ilex Forest, Pryce captures it and forces it to send him back in time to a certain point in his life. Once they free themselves from his ice prisons, Gold, Silver, and Crystal follow Pryce back in time to stop his evil plan. There, it is revealed that in his youth, Pryce had lost his two Lapras in an avalanche, leaving their child an orphan. Pryce reveals that all along, his plan was to go back in time to reunite his Lapras, La Glace, with its long-lost parents.

Pryce fights against Gold one last time, where it ends with Gold destroying Celebi’s Poké Ball, freeing it from Pryce’s control. Although defeated, La Glace flies to the past, where it is reunited with its parents. Celebi helps heal Pryce’s heart by playing a song from his past, bringing the man to tears in the process. Having a change of heart, Pryce expresses his envy at Gold’s youth as he willingly lets himself fall into the voids of time, where he was presumed missing.

In the HeartGold & SoulSilver chapter, Pryce finally returns along with Lance and Giovanni to stop the three legendary Pokémon created by Arceus. There, Pryce reveals that while he was trapped in the voids of time, he witnessed the beginning of the world, the births of legendary and mirage Pokémon, and a future that was destroyed by the three Pokémon created by Arceus. Knowing what lies ahead, Pryce called out to someone for help, and was heard by Lance.

Celebi, having sensed this beforehand, released Pryce out of the Ilex Forest Shrine, where they encountered Giovanni, who was waiting for Celebi’s arrival to cure his disease. When Giovanni saw Pryce, he immediately attacked Pryce and would have killed him if it weren’t for the intervention of Lance, who told them of the events going on at the Sinjoh Ruins. Although reluctant, the three Trainers formed an alliance to stop the destruction before it could begin.

While Giovanni faced Giratina and Lance faced Palkia, Pryce goes up against Dialga with his Swinub. Although Dialga had the ability to manipulate the flow of time, Pryce’s past history with time gives him immunity to its attacks. After Arceus is calmed down by Gold, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina leave to parts unknown, which finally ends the battle. After Celebi helps heal Giovanni’s disease, Giovanni entrusts Pryce and Lance to train his son so that in the future, they may battle. In the meantime, Pryce decides to return to his Gym and resume his position as a Gym Leader.

This listing is for Pryce’s Pokémon in the Pokémon Adventures manga.

Swinub’s known moves are Blizzard and Powder Snow, and its Ability is Oblivious.

La Glace’s only known move is Aurora Beam.

Pryce makes an appearance in Ice World where Red encounters him after he took care of Giovanni and Team Rocket at the Lake of Rage.

He was first seen looking for his Pokémon. He had a shovel in which he used to dig up certain areas in order to accomplish his goals of finding his Pokémon. Red managed to find it covered in ice, but he had trouble getting the ice off. Pryce too had trouble until it started to crack and Swinub came out, which made Pryce happy. After Swinub escaped from the ice, Pryce took them to his Gym. In the Gym, Pryce challenges Red to a battle using his Swinub. During the battle, Clefairy does everything to dazzle Swinub in order to trick it. Everything went well until it wore a Piloswine costume which caused the real Piloswine to come out and tackle Clefairy. With Piloswine around, Pryce and Swinub were able to reunite with it.

Swinub’s known moves are Headbutt and Take Down.

Piloswine appeared when Clefairy dressed up as it.

This listing is of cards mentioning or featuring Pryce or his Pokémon in the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

May’s Blaziken (Japanese: ハルカのバシャーモ Haruka’s Bursyamo) was the first Pokémon acquired by May at the beginning of her travels in Hoenn.

In Get the Show on the Road!, Blaziken was given to May by Professor Birch in Littleroot Town when it was still a Torchic. She chose it as her starter Pokémon because she thought Treecko was creepy and scary (though she later called them cute in Tree’s a Crowd), while the starter Mudkip had attacked her earlier with a Water Gun in the face. However, she seemed to like Torchic’s cute appearance and sweet nature. Early on in the journey, Torchic was very inexperienced and ditzy. It did not know how to battle, and tended to wander around obliviously; it also tended to panic when in dangerous situations. On the group’s first encounter with Jessie’s Seviper (still wild at the time), the Poison type frightened Torchic by trying to eat it.

When May started to ignore Torchic in favor of her new Beautifly, Torchic’s personality began to change: it grew more determined to improve itself and recapture May’s attention. Its competitive streak continued to grow as it lost most of its childishness and confusion; this culminated in its evolution into Combusken during A Shroomish Skirmish, where it learned both Fire Spin and Sky Uppercut. Combusken itself had a period of being highly aggressive, but this seems to have passed and its personality seems to have evened out more now that it apparently feels that it no longer has to overcompensate.

Combusken proved to be very useful for Pokémon Contests. The first time it took part of one was in Pokéblock, Stock and Berry and Lessons in Lilycove!, when May used it in the Lilycove City Contest. Even though its Fire Spin caused problems during the Appeals Round, Combusken managed to get a score of 23.6, which helped May to reach the battle rounds. After defeating Jessie and Chimecho, May had to battle Kelly, a Coordinator who she met prior to entering the Contest. Kelly and her Grumpig showed great talent and effort, but May and Combusken turned out as the winners, earning them the Lilycove Ribbon.

When May got enough Ribbons, she participated on the Hoenn Grand Festival, where Combusken was used in her quarter-finals battle round against Drew’s Flygon and Roselia, alongside Skitty, in Rhapsody in Drew. Together, they managed to put up a great fight, but they were defeated, leaving May within the Top 8 Coordinators of the Festival.

During Kanto, Combusken Pbs Kids had more appearances, due to the Pokémon Contests allowing Coordinators to use different Pokémon for each round. In A Hurdle for Squirtle, Combusken was only used for the Appeals Round of the Saffron City Contest, where it used Fire Spin and Sky Uppercut on May’s untied bandana to knot it back to her head. Later on, in Weekend Warrior, it was used for the battle rounds of the Silver Town Pokémon Contest. May and Combusken faced Coordinator Jeremy and his Venusaur in the final match; after a really close battle, where the Grass type used the strong move Frenzy Plant, May and Combusken ended as the winners, earning them the Ribbon.

In Spontaneous Combusken, it was used once again for the battle rounds, this time in the Chrysanthemum Island Convention. May and Combusken first faced Jessie and Mime Jr.. Though Mime Jr. was able to Mimic Combusken’s Fire Spin and hit it with the unusual Tickle attack, Combusken managed to http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Pokemon-Mewtwo-Returns land a Sky Uppercut through the opposing Fire Spin and win the battle. In the second battle, Combusken was seen beating a Skarmory with Quick Attack. In the final battle, May and Combusken faced Brianna and her Vibrava. After being weakened by Screech, Combusken managed a Fire Spin, however it was countered by DragonBreath. It was then trapped by Vibrava’s Sand Tomb and remained immobilized while May’s points decreased, until it broke out with a new move: Mega Kick. Combusken was then able to swiftly win the match and May received her third Ribbon.

Finally, in New Plot, Odd Lot!, Combusken was used for the Appeals Round of the Mulberry City Pokémon Contest. Team Rocket, who banded together with May’s rival Harley, attempted to ruin her performance: Harley loaned James and Meowth his Ariados to sabotage May’s appeal and kick her out of the Contest, so she would not get the last Ribbon she needed to get into the Grand Festival; however, surprisingly, their plan backfired when Combusken’s Fire Spin started enveloping Ariados’ web, going upwards in a spiral manner, not only setting Combusken free from it, but also surprising all three judges in the process. May managed to advance to the battle rounds (narrowly, though), and went on to defeat Jessie, who this time had borrowed Harley’s Banette, in the final round.

For the Kanto Grand Festival, Combusken was used for one of the Appeals Rounds and two of the battle rounds. Its appeal performance during May, We Harley Drew’d Ya!, just like the one in the Mulberry Contest, involved a frisbee, and easily led her to the next round. Combusken was then used for May’s battle against Drew, which started in Thinning the Hoard! and ended in the following episode, Channeling the Battle Zone!. It battled against Drew’s Flygon and Absol, alongside Squirtle; however, the fierce battle left only Combusken and Absol on stage after the first half of the five minutes. Just when Absol started to get the advantage, Combusken learned Overheat and gave its very best until the end of the match; by an extremely narrow difference, May and Combusken were announced as the winners of the round, and May moved on to the semi-finals. Combusken then faced Solidad’s Pidgeot and Slowbro, battling along with Munchlax; they were defeated with relative ease, leaving May at the Top 4 of the Grand Festival.

In Once More with Reeling, during the break of a Pokémon Contest, Ash and his friends were trying to stop Team Rocket from stealing Pikachu and other Pokémon. In the midst of the ensuing battle, Combusken evolved into Blaziken, and used its Blaze Kick to send Team Rocket flying, upon which Ash remarked “would I love to battle you”. Afterwards, May used Blaziken in the Battle Phase against Ash’s Sceptile. Although it had a type advantage over Sceptile and its Blaze Ability activated at the same time Sceptile’s Overgrow did, the battle ended in a tie. Later, it left for Johto with the rest of May’s Pokémon, along with May.

Blaziken appeared again when May made a guest appearance in A Full Course Tag Battle!. It was used in the Seven Stars Restaurant Tag Battles, in which it battled alongside Dawn’s Piplup. When it was first called out, Ash seemed to be pleased at seeing it again, and Brock remarked that it had gotten stronger as well. After the food retrieval from Team Rocket, it was called out once again for the Tag Battle. Blaziken started off with a Blaze Kick but failed to hit the opponent and got hurt by Girafarig’s Bite. The battle concluded with a combination of Piplup’s BubbleBeam and Blaziken’s Fire Spin, resulting in a fusion of the Fire-type and Water-type moves, knocking off both of the opponents as a result.

In the beginning Torchic was much like May: it was unsure of itself, and scared. However it was also a playful and curious Pokémon, as it tended to wander around aimlessly when brought out. When May captured her Beautifly, Torchic felt like it needed to compete for May’s attention. Upon its evolution the childish traits it had as a Torchic were gone, and it became much more assertive and confident, as it felt it didn’t need to compete with Beautifly for attention anymore. As a Blaziken it was shown to be quite an adept battler, being able to battle on par with Ash’s Sceptile and work well with Dawn’s Piplup.

May’s Blaziken was featured in the Pokémon Trading Card Game as both a Torchic and a Combusken. The following is a list of related cards.
