Tauros (Japanese: ケンタロス Kentauros) is a Normal-type Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
Tauros are quadruped, bovine Pokémon. They are covered in light brown fur, with a thick darker brown mane around the neck. Their nose is also dark brown. They have a pair of curved, gray horns atop their head, and three silver studs on their forehead. Each of their three black tails has a tuft of fur on the end, and there is a single gray hoof on each foot.
Tauros is a male-only species. Many fans consider its female counterpart to be Miltank, despite the fact that Miltank was introduced a generation later. It is speculated that Miltank was created solely to be the “female version” of Tauros. Miltank obviously cannot produce Tauros Eggs, due to the fact that a bred Pokémon will almost always be the same species as its mother. However, a Tauros can breed with a Miltank to produce another Miltank.
Tauros are violent, rowdy Pokémon that are able to whip themselves into a frenzy using their three-pronged tail. They are unable to stop themselves once they charge. However, they can only charge in a straight line. Like most Normal types, Tauros can learn many different types of attacks.
Tauros are rowdy Pokémon; once they’ve started a rampage they will not stop until they hit something. They increase their will to fight by whipping themselves with their three tails. They live and travel in herds with the herd’s protector probably leading the others. Tauros are also known to lock horns with each other in battle, and they usually take pride in their battle-scarred horns. When there are no opponents to battle, Tauros will charge at trees to satisfy their need for a challenge and calm themselves.
Tauros are rarely found in the wild, but can be found near farming communities in Johto & Sinnoh. They have also been introduced to the Safari Zone, and can be found near the Johto Safari Zone.
Like other real-life bovines, Tauros graze on grass.
Ash captured a herd of 30 Tauros in EP035, an episode which became banned in multiple countries due to use of guns, leading to confusion for many as to how he obtained them. The first time Ash ever used any of his Tauros in a battle was against Drake of the Orange Islands in Hello Pummelo.
Many Tauros were seen in Tricks of the Trade in Palmpona Town, including one under Fernando, the Trainer who managed ten consecutive victories in the tournament. Ash brought his from Oak’s for this occasion as well, managing to defeat Fernando.
Ash used his Bulbasaur to stop an out of control Tauros in Two Hits and a Miss.
Tauros first appeared briefly in The Flame Pokémon-athon! as one of the Pokémon in the Laramie farm.
A Tauros appeared in A Chansey Operation, where it was one of the injured Pokémon brought to the clinic.
Multiple Tauros also appeared in the intro to Mewtwo Strikes Back being captured by Team Rocket Grunts with the aid of Mewtwo.
A Tauros appeared in Lights, Camera, Quack-tion, as part of the cast for the movie “Pokémon in Love”.

Tauros was used as a mount by members of Team Rocket, apparently captured in the Safari Zone. It wagged its tails when ordering an attack from other Pokémon the grunts owned, a method that Green easily exploited by pushing it off a cliff and having Ditty mimic its appearance.

Tauros is based on the Zodiac Taurus, the bull. It is also based on a bull or a bison. Its tail is based on a whip, more specifically the cat o’ nine tails.
Tauros is an abbreviation of its Japanese name, Kentauros. It is worth noting that Taurus, Latin for bull (which comes from the Greek “tauros”), is also the name of a constellation. Tauros could also be a corruption of Toro (Spanish for bull).
Kentauros derives from Greek Κένταυρος centaur. It could also be a corruption of Centaurus, a large south-sky constellation representing a centaur.
Conway (Japanese: コウヘイ Kōhei) is a recurring character from the anime. His first appearance was in Tag! We’re It! as Dawn’s tag-team partner.
Conway first appeared from Tag! We’re It…! to Smells Like Team Spirit!. He was shown to be a very smart Trainer. His strategies played an important role in helping himself and Dawn to advance to the finals of the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition.
Conway appeared again in Camping It Up! through One Team, Two Team, Red Team, Blue Team! during a four-episode arc at the Pokémon Summer Academy. During this arc he demonstrated his knowledge about Pokémon monster Dragood as well as an attraction towards Dawn.
He later appeared in An Old Family Blend!, where it was revealed he was also entering the Lily of the Valley Conference. In League Unleashed!, he passed the first round, then in Casting a Paul on Barry! he made it through the second and had his third round opponent revealed to be Ash. He battled Ash and lost in Working on a Right Move! after almost defeating him thanks to his strategies.
He made a cameo appearance during the credits of Zoroark: Master of where appear Monagle Illusions.
Conway uses very effective strategies, but doesn’t improvise much, something that has led to several losses for him. Examples include using Psychic to redirect an attack, using Protect while another Pokémon attacks, and so on.

It was later seen again in Up Close and Personable!, in the Pokémon Summer Academy where it showed off some impressive moves against Jessie’s Yanmega; protecting a Lumineon that he, Ash, and his friends had found. It was seen for the last time in One Team, Two Team, Red Team, Blue Team!; running alongside Conway in the third leg of the triathlon.
Slowking’s known moves are Safeguard, Protect, Psychic and Water Pulse.
Heracross’s known moves are Revenge, Feint and Megahorn.

Lickitung (Japanese: ベロリンガ Beroringa) is a Normal-type Pokémon.
It evolves into Lickilicky when leveled up while knowing Rollout.
Lickitung is a bipedal Pokémon with a thick, powerful tail. It has soft, pink skin with semicircular yellow markings on its belly, and fully circular markings on its knees. It has small, beady eyes, and its hands have thumb-claws and circular yellow markings on the undersides. The most famous feature Lickitung possesses is a long prehensile tongue, which it uses to manipulate objects and possibly, to consume them. Aside from being very receptive to all sorts of tastes, its tongue is Original Pokemon very dexterous. The tongue is very likely connected to its huge tail, as when it is extended, the tail quivers.
The licks from their 6’6″-long tongue can paralyze foes and leave a tingling sensation. Their saliva is gooey and sticks to everything. Their tongues are shown to be quite strong, as they can lift Trainers with it, which was shown in Deceit and Assist.
These Pokémon appear to be like Slowpoke, rather easy-going and almost dopey, hence having Own Tempo and Oblivious as abilities. They also like to lick things they come across, but get put-off by some sour substances. They do not mean harm when they lick people for food traces. Lickitung also uses its tongue to lick its body clean.
Lickitung, being heavy Pokémon, use their weight to their advantage with a large portion of their attacking strategies. For instance, they are capable of using Stomp, Slam or Rollout.
Lickitung are a rare sight, usually staying in dense forests near large bodies of water. They are very rare in Kanto, but seem to be far more common in Johto and Sinnoh.
Lickitung uses its tongue to catch prey, and thusly seems to be a carnivore.
Lickitung was first seen in Princess Versus Princess. Jessie captured it and used in the Princess Festival Tournament against Misty. After defeating Ash’s Pikachu and Bulbasaur and Brock’s Vulpix, it lost to Misty’s Psyduck. Jessie accidentally traded her Lickitung for Benny’s Wobbuffet in Tricks Of The Trade.
Multiple Lickitung were among the Pokémon attempting to reach Shamouti Island in The Power of One, with some successfully crossing the ocean, and others remaining stranded.
A Lickitung was one of the sick Pokémon in a Pokémon Center in Carrying On!.
A Lickitung appeared in Beauty and the Breeder where monstermmorpg monster Corazingo it participated in a Pokémon beauty contest.
A Lickitung was one of the Pokémon competing in the Pokémon Sumo Wrestling in Ring Masters.
In Extreme Pokémon!, a Lickitung appeared with its Trainer, participating in the Extreme Pokémon Race.

In Pokémon Adventures, Lickitung is one of the Pokémon seen in Gold’s house.
Later, in Volume 11, a quad of Lickitung becomes attracted by the scent of Crystal’s newly evolved Bayleef.
Later, already late into the Diamond & Pearl chapter, Diamond’s map was stolen by a Lickitung and he attempts to capture it, but instead it evolves to a Lickilicky and provides him a challenge.
Giovanni sent out Lickitung to prevent anyone from winning the contest he hosted on TV in Seize the Dream of One Million Yen!!.
Lickitung is a Pokéfloat. As fighting moves to the left, Lickitung will extend its tongue which must be used as a stepping stone to continue.
It may have been based on any number of lizards with extending tongues, particularly the blue-tongued skink or maybe even chameleons. It also shares traits with anteaters. Lickitung could also be an iguanodon, as it shares its characteristic “thumbs” with it.
Lickitung is a combination of lick and a corruption of tongue.
Beroringa may be derived from べろ bero (tongue), ベロベロ berobero (onomatopoeia for licking), and possibly ring (referring to the patterns on its body) or a corruption of the English word lingua (which refers to a tongue or an organ resembling a tongue).
A vitamin (Japanese: えいようドリンク nutritious drink) is a type of item from the Pokémon games. They are used to boost the stats of a Trainer’s Pokémon. Most vitamins are named after real minerals and organic compounds important to bodily health.
In Generations I and II, vitamins gave 2560 Stat Exp to a stat, but could only be given until that stat had 25600 Stat Exp. However, in Generation III and beyond, stats were calculated with the system of effort values, and so instead vitamins give a Pokémon 10 EV points to a stat, only working if the EVs of the stat raised are less than 100, and if the total EVs are less than 510.
The two PP-raising vitamins do not work in the same way, since instead of raising a stat they raise the PP value of one of the Pokémon’s moves. Rare Candy is also an exception to this, since it instead raises the Pokémon’s level by one.
Rare Candies will add experience to a Pokémon until it levels up, how to catch monstermmorpg monster Tecouno and then stop, even if it just added a single experience point.
From Generation II onward, vitamins also increase the friendship of the affected Pokémon.
In the Mystery Dungeon series, Vitamins permanently increase one play with fake pokemon Opalioz of the Stats of a Pokémon and are not subject to any limits due to the absence of the EV system in those games.
All vitamins can be found on the ground at various locations.
PP Ups are sold in Cerulean City and at the Pokéathlon Dome. PP Ups are commonly given as prizes in the Pokémon Lottery Corner. PP Max is not sold anywhere.
Rare Candies can be purchased at the Sinnoh and Johto Battle Frontiers and at the Battle Subway for 48 BP each. They can also be purchased at the Pokéathlon Dome on Mondays and Saturdays.
All other vitamins are available to buy for 9800 (4900 at a sale) at Celadon Department Store, Goldenrod Department Store, Lilycove Department Store, Veilstone Department Store, Slateport market, the Safari Zone Gate, and Shopping Mall Nine. They may also be purchased at Cerulean City in exchange for Berry Powder. Vitamins can also be purchased at both Battle Frontiers and the Battle Subway for 1 BP each.

In the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, Protein, Calcium, Playground Games Iron and Zinc appear as types of health drink. Their effects are based on their effects in the main series.
Calcium made its anime debut in The Joy of Pokémon. Nurse Joy gave a whole bottle of these tablets to a giant Magikarp. Some other unidentified vitamins also appeared in the episode.
In Caterpie’s Big Dilemma, the Rare Candy made its anime debut. However, unlike in the games, where the Rare Candy levels up a Pokémon, in the episode it actually makes the Pokémon larger (and in some cases uncontrollable) due to the fact that this was a specially modified and experimental version of it. Brock said that the original would merely “enhance a Pokémon’s abilities”. Also, due to a dubbing error, the Rare Candy was referred by a direct translation of its Japanese name, Mystery Candy.
In The Clubsplosion Begins!, a full set of Vitamins (PP Up, PP Max and Rare Candy are excluded) were announced to be the prize for the Clubsplosion tournament, like how the set of Wings was the prize for the Club Battle tournament. They were eventually won by Stephan.
